George Masters is a big Apple fan. So big he decided to make his own advert for the iPod Mini in his spare time at home. Now it's travelling around the internet by email and blog offering great free coverage for the company and its MP3 player. To date it's been downloaded 40,000 times. But what's so shocking is that it's really good, you can see it here.
So that's good communication, delivered to a sizeable audience, at no cost. How's that for an effective marketing campaign! The question for marketeers is how they can collaborate with their customers in such effective ways. Is it just because of Apple's special relationship with its customers or is it a route available to lots of other companies? Hard to say at the moment, but it's a growing trend.
